The full exterior detail, plus your choice of correction level.
Paint correction is not just “buffing the car.” It is a controlled process that starts with inspection, moves into the appropriate correction level, and ends with a refined finish that looks dramatically better in the light.
Professor Detail begins by cleaning and decontaminating the exterior, then evaluating the paint in the right light. This helps identify the real issues, swirl marks, oxidation, haze, and light scratches, and determines whether a paint enhancement, one-step, or two-step correction makes the most sense.
Once the condition is understood, the paint is corrected using the level selected for the car. A lighter enhancement boosts gloss, a one-step removes a more meaningful amount of defects, and a two-step goes deeper by cutting and then refining the finish.
After the correction work is complete, the finish is checked and refined so the result looks clean and even. From there, Professor Detail can advise on next steps, including maintenance and whether ceramic coating is the right way to protect the freshly corrected paint.
This Infiniti arrived with a dull, hazy finish across the hood. Drag the slider to compare the paint before correction with the deeper color and clearer reflections after polishing.

Paint correction is machine polishing used to reduce visible defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation while restoring gloss and clarity to the paint.
Yes. Every paint correction begins with the full exterior detail so the paint is washed and decontaminated before polishing begins.
Level 1 is a Paint Enhancement for gloss and lighter imperfections. Level 2 is a One-Step Paint Correction that combines cutting and polishing. Level 3 is a Two-Step Paint Correction with a dedicated cutting stage followed by a refining polish.
The right level depends on the condition of the paint and the result you want. You can send Professor Detail photos of the paint, and the vehicle can be evaluated to determine the appropriate correction level.
Paint Enhancement is the entry level and focuses on increasing gloss while reducing lighter imperfections. Two-Step Paint Correction is the most thorough option, using separate cutting and refining stages for a deeper level of correction.
